I have drawn these toons since I was a kid. But this book offers some very excellent things I had never considered. I have already used the techniques on three of my toons and they looked good while giving me something new to shoot for. This would be a good textbook for a class if I were to teach it--and I am a retired teacher. Good show Trosley.
This bOOk is excellent and covers things that other bOOks write too much about.This bOOk makes it very easy to draw the type of art you could really like and it's easier then you'd think.I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of the vehicles they have in it are not only popular cars and trucks,but they capture the vehicles in positions that make them come alive...Great bOOk and easy to to learn from,and I would recommend it to my friends.and anybody that wants to learn how to draw.
Wish would have spent a bit more time going over perspective drawing but this is an excellent book. I would not say if you have no experience at drawing cars it will be helpful but don't give up you may need a more ground zero book.
Starts with basic cars then the details. 14 yr old boy loved it.
I've been a fan of Trosley's work since I was a kid buying Cartoons magazine in the early 80's. Being an artist myself I always enjoyed following his easy step-by-step instructions in the magazines. They helped me when I was beginning to draw as a kid. Even though I'm now a professional artist I still find tips and tricks that I haven't thought of before or have forgotten and this book is full of them! If you want to draw cars with attitude and personality then this book is for you!
Author presented the subject in a vey concise way. Very easy process for the beginning cartoonist to follow.
Grew up on George Trosley cartoons and this is awesome to have all these in one book. Purchased these for my nephews and hope and will be glad they put down the remotes and pick up a pencil.
It was a gift. He said he was very pleased with it.
